TRANSCRIPT

Roula (00:02)
So here we are, Rosie. Today we are recording a couple of episodes and we noticed that we don't really have topics today. It's like life today is happening to us in a way that we just want to chat. We don't have specific topics.

Rosie (00:08)
you

Yeah.

Yes, we've been very

chit chatty. We'll kind of start with a topic and then we always go off topic, but today in particular feels like a very chit chatty sort of

Roula (00:29)
But

I have this question. what's the one thing that makes you tick?

Do you want an example?

Rosie (00:40)
Yeah, give me an example. That's in my podcast intro, did you know? What makes you tick when you step away from society's expectations and follow your heart? So this is a question I'm trying to answer. I don't have an answer, but yes, give me an example. Maybe it will come to me.

Roula (00:43)
For example, some people went.

Yeah!

Okay, but it could be what I mean here is different than what you mean on your podcast.

For example, you're angry. You're in an emotional anger state and someone would put their hand on your shoulder and that will make you tick. Because it's not what you need. Yeah. Like the one thing when, yeah.

Rosie (01:16)
fuck off. ⁓ you mean what pisses me off? ⁓ okay yeah.

Yeah, that example definitely pisses me off. Okay. I see. So what thing, what ticks me off the most?

Roula (01:27)
I also have to think because I don't know exactly what.

Yes.

Rosie (01:39)
Yeah, that's definitely an example. If I'm angering someone's like settle down or puts their hand on me. Also, if I'm vomiting, like I feel sick, people for some reason like to put their hand on your back. Do not fucking touch me. I'm throwing up. I'm hot. I'm sweaty. It's disgusting. Don't touch me. That definitely ticks me off.

Roula (02:09)
Wow. Okay. I thought that someone would hold my hair like when I'm vomiting, cause this is what we all do.

Rosie (02:14)
I don't even know if I'd want them to- Yeah, true. I don't have any

hair for people to hold. ⁓

Roula (02:21)
Okay, you don't, but you all, this is recently that you don't have hair. But at the time when you used to vomit, you had hair.

Rosie (02:22)
I always had it tied up anyway. Yeah, that's true. Yeah.

I did, but it was tied up, so no one needed to hold it because I just hardly ever had a doubt. Yeah, that pisses me off. So touch can piss me off at the wrong time. When people are condescending, when people don't listen.

Roula (02:33)
Oh, yes. Yes.

Rosie (02:47)
Also, when people just pretend they don't care, like you ask their opinion on something, they're like, no, no, because they can't be bothered thinking about it. Like there's things that I'm not sure what my opinion is yet, but if someone asked me, I'd maybe talk aloud my thoughts and it pisses me off when people just go, I don't know. And then shut the conversation down. I'm like, well, like that's the point of me asking. Like, can we talk about it?

Roula (03:15)
Yeah, because it shut the conversation and it's not satisfying. You want more?

Rosie (03:18)
Yeah, it's not satisfying

at all. Yeah.

What tiks you off?

Roula (03:25)
I don't hope I'm talking over you because there's

a delay and there's okay. Okay. There is one thing I could say for sure. It ticks me off is when someone wants to talk to me and they get too close to me.

Rosie (03:40)
oooo

Roula (03:41)
It doesn't matter if they're, if mostly they don't have to be angry. It's not like they're angry and getting close to me, but it's just when someone wants to talk to me and they get closer. Like I feel I have a space and they're crossing the line. That just drives me crazy. Really? I cannot stand it. A lot. I don't know. I can't remember. I don't think a lot or okay.

Rosie (03:47)
Mm.

Yeah, they're in your personal bubble.

Have you experienced this a lot?

Roula (04:10)
Probably I experienced it a lot seeing the same person often. No, you know what I mean with a lot. Not from various people, but from that one person that happened to be there. That I've seen every time, every time. So yeah, that, that makes me tick and kind of behavior. drives It me crazy. and the other thing in social interaction.

Rosie (04:16)
⁓ right.

Right, one person in particular. ⁓

Mmm.

Roula (04:40)
I forgot what I wanted to say.

⁓ yeah, what makes me really tick is if you're telling someone, okay, so you and I, know that person and this person said something hurtful to me or did something that I find out. I don't like it. They behaved in a certain way towards me that I don't like. And you would tell me, they never do this with me. When I never experienced that there are people that do this. Yeah. They never do this to me. ⁓

Rosie (04:55)
Yeah.

It's so dismissive.

Roula (05:15)
She's so nice. I never noticed. She never been not nice to me. This makes me tick. Like who do you think you are? Who? Tick.

Rosie (05:25)
I didn't ask what you experience, I'm telling you what I'm experiencing,

Roula (05:26)
to be so special.

Yeah, this, I think this happens much more often than someone in my space talking to me.

Rosie (05:39)
Mmm.

Roula (05:42)
Can I go into a side conversation?

Rosie (05:46)
What do you mean? Yeah, sure, we always do.

Roula (05:48)
Yeah.

Okay, so you see my nails. I usually don't have these nails. These are not my nails and they are not very long. They grew, but they're not very long. And I realized I don't want them. I want to take them off. This was an experiment because every single woman around me have fake nails.

Rosie (05:55)
Yeah. Okay. No.

Okay.

Roula (06:15)
They call some call it Jellah, not Jellah, Acryl. Other is, I don't know, stick and nail. I don't know what their name. Acrylic. And it's like no one anymore, not one woman anymore, just have her regular normal nails like this one. Which I can't wait to have this one again. And the thing is that disgusting when you cook the foods go in them.

Rosie (06:19)
acrylic nails yeah yeah

Yeah.

Yeah...

Roula (06:42)
When I

put face cream, half of my cream is in my nail. I don't even want to imagine where these nails go.

Rosie (06:45)
Yeah.

Do you like the look

of them though?

Roula (06:54)
Can you repeat?

Rosie (06:54)
Have you enjoyed how they look?

Roula (06:58)
Only for the first two weeks, and this was in the summer.

Rosie (07:00)

So you don't like how they look anymore? Or is it more so you've just realized how gross it is?

Roula (07:03)
And I read... No!

It's more I realized how gross it is to have long nails and some have them even longer. also, I don't feel anything. If I want to scratch my face, I ask my husband to scratch my face with his normal nail because they're not strong. I don't feel it. Like, please, can you scratch for me? And I don't know how can you do things around the house and do stuff with long nails?

Rosie (07:11)
Thank

and pointy.

Hmm.

Yeah, well.

No more fake nails for ruler.

Roula (07:40)
It just, I wanted to experiment it and now I'm sure that I so disagree with these fake nails.

Rosie (07:40)
They're not very practical.

Yeah, they've never really been for me either. I've had them a few times and yeah, you're right. They feel icky. Are you just showing off your nails? Very pretty. Very pretty. la la.

Roula (08:01)
⁓ look at my nails! Nails, look at my

nails because I'm gonna take them off! Take them off!

Rosie (08:10)
you'll be natural. Okay, cool. Good side note.

Roula (08:10)
That was my side note.

What

are... yeah. So that sticks me off that everyone, every woman has fake nails. It ticks me off. Come on. Why?

Rosie (08:19)
Fake nails, yeah. Everyone loves them, so

I'm glad you don't, because they kinda... I like the natural-shaped nails. I don't like the fake ones where they're pointy, like, ooh. And I don't like the square ones. Ooh.

Roula (08:37)
these are so fake.

Rosie (08:39)
Right? I've written that ticks me off something about it. I'm like, no, I want my natural looking now. So if I've got fake nails, like I've had acrylic nails before, I get them to shape them so they at least have the natural shape like yours. It's a bit pixelated, but yours looks like it's natural. Yeah, I've had ones with like Christmas designs on them. Yeah, I know. Right? Who am I?

Roula (08:53)
Hold on, you had acrylic nails before? I almost can't believe this.

Wow! Yeah! I can't believe this! Yeah! Listen, listeners! I never knew this about Rosie! I just discovered it now! She had the girly nails!

Rosie (09:07)
Have I just like blown your mind?

you

No!

Yeah, it was fun to experience, but no thanks.

Roula (09:24)
Yeah, you know, also I find naturally.

Can you believe I feel having my natural nails is actually being a badass and tough?

Rosie (09:36)
I love that. Wow. Why? Yeah.

Roula (09:39)
I don't know. This is how

I feel being different. Now having your natural nails is being different standing out, whether you're standing out good or bad. don't know.

Rosie (09:47)
true.

you ⁓

Roula (09:54)
Okay,

Rosie, from what makes you tick to fake nails, let's wrap it up. And I really hope my dear listener, you took value from both topics because we gave you two for the one episode.

Rosie (10:06)
Did we? Yeah. I'm frozen. Okay. Yeah, please don't. I don't even know if she can hear me. All bye.

Roula (10:08)
She's frozen. Rosie is frozen. I think I'm going to end it up. not Rosie. I'm not going to end Rosie. The episode. Bye.
