Roula (00:00)
this one could be short. I have no idea what to say about it. It's just a phenomenon that I noticed and I want to share with you, Rosie.

How come when we laugh very, hard, we feel we like we want to be?

Rosie (00:46)
Okay.

I an episode on this, I just edited it.

Roula (00:58)
We did? Awesome.

Rosie (00:59)
when we laugh really, really

hard and then when we cry, we'd wipe it away, that one.

Roula (01:03)
Yeah, but this one is like why we want to P. We didn't mention that in the offer is P.

Rosie (01:06)
โ“ pee, sorry, no, no, no.

See, listeners, I need to learn to listen. my goodness. Why do we feel like we need to pee when we laugh? Ooh. cause I feel like it's losing control. When you really having a really genuine good laugh, a ruffle, you're just releasing your inhibitions. You're letting go. So it's like, need to wee I'm laughing so hard. And you know, when you laugh so hard, it hurts.

You're just letting the laughter take over, yeah.

Roula (01:35)
It hurts! Yeah!

It's like...

Rosie (01:40)
sorry, that's my alarm saying podcast. Shut up.

Roula (01:43)
Which is true because we're earlier

now than our plan. And I think that sometimes I say, โ“ I'm going to pee, I'm going to pee, I'm going to pee, but it's not true.

It's like an expression to express. I mean, these are words to express how hard I'm laughing.

Rosie (02:05)
Interesting.

Yeah. Sometimes I don't think I've ever said that unless I'm actually gonna pee. But I do say, my God, stop, I can't laugh anymore, it hurts. Like, my God, I can't breathe. Ouch, stop, stop. And then you just keep laughing.

Roula (02:29)
This episode should be really something for, I think it's Barb, one of our listeners, who wanted to join a laughing class. Was it? I can't remember if it was Barb or someone else. A laughing club online, because it's so contagious. And then I think when someone says, please stop, please stop. I'm going to be in my pants or whatever. It's exaggerated laughing. So.

Rosie (02:35)
Yeah.

Yes, yes, a laughing club online, yes.

Yeah.

Roula (02:54)
Everyone is that, my goodness, this is so much fun that we're losing control and we're all going to pee in our pants. โ“

Rosie (03:03)
Okay, here's a question. By the way, if you

want to the episode where we mention this laughing thing, go to episode 178. But here's a question, Roula and you have to be honest.

Have you ever peed yourself when you're laughing?

Roula (03:23)
Okay.

Rosie (03:24)
be honest.

Roula (03:27)
โ“ I think so. I think so.

Rosie (03:30)
I have.

I can think of one. Let me tell you. You probably won't even find it funny. So I was sitting at the table with my ex and my mum and I think it was, I think it was the first time they met. I think. So I was really nervous and mum was talking about a play she wanted to see and mum was a fairly like proper person around me. Like she had fun but we would never joke about sex or any of that sort of thing. That was off limits.

And mum goes, oh I really want to see the play Kinky Boots. And I just, I think I spat out what I was drinking and went, what? Kinky Boots? And I, I, I weighed myself a little bit and I had to run to the bathroom and change my underwear. It just took me so by surprise.

Roula (04:16)
Right.

The reality, is that when a woman, well, I, give birth, natural birth to three children, even if I'm not laughing very hard, I feel like I'm going to wee in my pants

Rosie (04:21)
Mm.

Mmm.

True. I think a lot of mothers can probably relate to that. Yeah.

Roula (04:36)
This is the hard truth about being a mother. Yeah, about

having children. Okay, we're not going there in that conversation. Laughing is so good. Yesterday, I went shopping alone and I entered the shop and I overheard two women talking and I couldn't stop laughing. And I even by myself laughed loud. Like if I was part of the

Rosie (04:43)
Ugh. No, we're not talking about kids. No.

Mmm.

Roula (05:06)
So what happens? โ“ I... Yeah, see I'm just catching my tears. I entered the shop and these two ladies with... one of them with her daughter and the daughter is 12 or 13 years old. The shop has everything, has furniture, clothes, decoration and when you enter there's a beautiful big purple couch.

Rosie (05:06)
love that. ruler's crying everybody. With laughter.

Roula (05:36)
sofa. And then one of the moms said to her daughter, go and sit on the couch. This is something nice for our living room. And her friend said to her, that will also look nice in our living room. And I couldn't stop laughing. Like I imagine both of them by in the same couch. At the same time, I laughed because this is bullshit. The couch is so expensive.

Rosie (05:56)
with the same couch.

Roula (06:03)
I'm not sure anyone will spontaneously buy it. Let alone two people.

Rosie (06:05)
You know what I'm

finding funny? Not the joke that I don't find funny, but the fact that you found something not very funny funny. โ“

Roula (06:19)
Yes! This interaction! And I laughed and in my head I'm like this is just some fucking conversation like bullshit conversation. No one would go and buy the same couch just because they just saw it. I this conversation was going in my head.

Rosie (06:21)
I'm out loud.

Boom.

you

Roula (06:41)
No, no, no, no, the exact words that went in my head. these two women are so full of shit.

Rosie (06:47)
You

Roula (06:50)
E?

Rosie (06:51)
You know what would have been, what would have made my jaw drop is if you said you actually said that out loud to them. You're so full of shit.

Roula (06:52)
Yeah.

โ“ wow, no, no, I would have said are you really going to buy the same couch in purple color and put it in your living room? Really? I wish I did that. This would have sparked some conversation or they would have beaten the shit out of me, but it's okay. Yes. Okay, shall we wrap this up? Unless you have something more to tell.

Rosie (07:11)
That would have been funny. Yeah. Ooh, hope not. Yeah. Listeners,

let us know. Have you ever peed yourself from laughing? And why do we say, my God, I'm going to pee myself. I don't know. Have you ever laughed out loud in public to a joke you've overheard or just someone's conversation? I probably have. I can't think of one. Yeah. Okay. We'll leave that with you.

Roula (07:36)
I like this last question. All right.

Thank you for listening. Bye.

Rosie (07:41)
Bye!
