TRANSCRIPT

[00:00:00] Rosie: lipstick on my teeth? I think you do. No? It's kind of fuzzy so I can't tell.

[00:00:06] Roula: Welcome to the Rosie and show Marhaba.

[00:00:16] Rosie: Good day.

[00:00:17] Roula: Oh, I love this one. I don't know if you care about it. I really like to know. God. Okay. Rosie. So here's the thing. I really want to know from you, even though I know you're gay and I'm not sure if you have made friends or you observe men. Made friends. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I want to know, is there like two or three things men have or do that you wish you also can have or do?

[00:00:44] Rosie: Oh, I wish I could walk around without a top on, like no bra, no top, and there's not a problem. I mean, I, I don't feel comfortable doing it now cause I've been socialized, but as a kid, like I didn't have breasts yet. I would take my top off and it's summer and I feel amazing. And my mom would be mortified.

[00:01:03] So I bought, why, why can't I show my nipples? If men can show this bull crap, not cool. So that's one thing. What about you?

[00:01:14] Roula: Oh goodness. You know, in a way, I kind of feel a bit not jealous, but I like the dynamic sometimes between the man friends.

[00:01:25] There is something to it that I like. I also like to do this, like this scene, that just, I don't know, drink beer, watch a movie, and like, there's no, nothing on their mind except the movie and the beer. I wish I could do this with my friends because there's always some serious conversation or some emotional moments comes in.

[00:01:45] It's so cool.

[00:01:48] Rosie: You don't think that's a stereotype though? Is that not a stereotype? Or does that actually, is that actually what they do?

[00:01:56] Roula: No, I mean, I think it is actually what they do. Oh, it does sound pretty cool. Same stereotype.

[00:02:05] Rosie: Oh, God. You know, I have had dreams. Yeah. Sorry, continue, continue. This is a little bit embarrassing now, but I'm going to share it.

[00:02:14] I have had dreams, and not just one dream, but I've had dreams where I've had a penis. And it's just It's like the strangest thing, but I wish I could, I could go to the toilet standing up. I definitely jealous of that.

[00:02:30] Roula: Honestly, I like, I like it. You know why? Because in public places, yes, you're so lucky that they just can stand and pee and not touch every, anything from all this dirt around. But when you don't talk about fetus, I'm like, okay, okay.

[00:02:47] Some stuff we cannot say on the podcast. And I have a totally different, different wish in that matter, for a different purpose.

[00:03:01] Rosie: Okay. All right then. Everybody knows though.

[00:03:07] Roula: Yeah. I actually don't. I don't, I don't know. I don't know. I would be in trouble. So strange. I like their six packs. Oh, yes. You can see like the six packs and then they're going up to their shoulders.

[00:03:24] Not the six packs. Yeah, the muscles. Yeah, the

[00:03:28] muscles.

[00:03:28] Rosie: Yeah. Like they're naturally leaner, aren't they? It's, it is pretty like beautiful, handsome, amazing, attractive, whatever the word is you want to use, like to see a muscular man. It's impressive.

[00:03:40] Roula: Well, I saw a muscular man and this is what triggered this in my mind is, um, okay, I'll tell you a little story.

[00:03:47] There was a reel on Instagram for Lenny Kravitz. I really liked Lenny Kravitz like all my life. I want to get away. Is that him? I want to fly away. How awesome is this? Yeah. So I saw her doing like a bar, uh, lifting himself on, on the bar. Yeah. What do you call it again? Pull up. I forgot what the name pull up is.

[00:04:12] He did a pull up. He turned and jumped right standing. And I looked at his body and I was. I want this. Well, okay. Lenny Kravitz, yes. But also, I want this body. And I sent it to my friend. She's a personal coach. And I'm like, please, what do I have to do to look like him?

[00:04:38] What's the answer? What'd she say? She asked the question. Oh yeah, she gave me a whole list. I should not eat carbs, a lot of protein, train. And I'm like, no, no, what's the easy way? Steroids. No easy way. And this is what triggered the question in my head because also like sometimes I see my husband doing things and he's so Home improvements.

[00:05:01] And it's like a woman is busy with so many other things than that, but it's so much fun to cut wood and make fire. Okay. Home improvement does not include fire. No, that's quite the opposite. This is something else it was doing. And all this stuff. Um, before I used to talk about it as a freedom, like men have more freedom and I wish I'm a man.

[00:05:23] Now I see it differently. Now I see them doing tasks or having interactions that I like also to experience. So it goes more to three things, men have a lot of things they do that could be fun to try.

[00:05:40] Rosie: Yeah, it could be fun to try. And I mean, some of the things you said, like having a six pack or being muscly and doing home improvement.

[00:05:47] Technically you could do those things. You don't have to be a man to do that. It's just more common, I guess, for men to do that stuff.

[00:05:54] Roula: I think so. And because men like it. They like to serve, they like to do it. While we're just Breastfeeding, laughing around, complaining about our fags and faggots growing.

[00:06:07] Rosie: There are so many stereotypes in this episode. I don't know how I feel. You're perpetuating some things that, yeah, I don't know.

[00:06:14] Roula: I think we moved outside of the topic.

[00:06:17] Rosie: So you wish you had a penis for a better sex life. You didn't say it, but come on. Um, you wish you had muscles and you wish you could do home improvement stuff.

[00:06:27] They're your three things. You wish

[00:06:29] Roula: Yeah, for today, yes. For today. As far as I can think of. I love it. Wow, you, you, see, okay, okay, you, you summarized my three things. Yeah. I did. Okay. How about you? I cannot summarize yours. Why not? You, you want, you want to be shirtless without boobs, just like men walk around.

[00:06:50] I mean, you live in Australia, you, you can be shirtless every day, the whole year. Yeah. Pretty much. Yeah.

[00:07:00] Rosie: I mean,

[00:07:01] I don't have big breasts, right? We're going on a totally different topic. But. I don't know, these days not wearing a bra or at least a crop top might be a bit uncomfortable, but I'm not sure if that's actually how I feel, or if it's because I've been brought up to believe that women should be wearing bras.

[00:07:18] Maybe that's a topic for another episode. Or another episode, yeah. I'm going to put that in my memory bank, which isn't very reliable. But shirtless. Peeing, standing up and the fact that it's more socially acceptable for men to be assertive. I'm really jealous of that. Like I get, I get called a bulldozer or, just not nice words, but.

[00:07:45] Roula: I think whoever called you a bulldozer is a not nice person.

[00:07:49] Rosie: Well, yes. And we know who that person is, don't we? Yes.

[00:07:53] Roula: We're not going to shame anyone here. Anyway, shut up, shut up, shut up. We're not going to do that.

[00:08:01] Rosie: We're being good people. That's right. Oh, let us know those guys.

[00:08:05] Roula: Like a man, when men, they push hard and they just, no one.

[00:08:10] Rosie: They push hard. What are we talking about? And this is something I wish I can do and push, push, push hard and be respected for it. I'm not sure I'd say it push hard, but yes, yes, yes. Let us know what do you wish you could do or you could have that men have?

[00:08:31] Roula: Yeah. Help us. I don't think we, we had enough ideas, even though I know there aren't so many I'd like to be.

[00:08:37] I'm sure. That men has. Yeah.

[00:08:40] Rosie: But I also So yeah, let us know. Yeah. And it's a mindset thing too though. I think we need to question why we think we can't do it, but let's shut up. It's the end of the episode. You've been rambling too much. Thank you.

[00:08:50] Roula: Yeah, I am. I am. I've been rambling too much. Me too, I guess.

[00:08:54] All right. Thank you so much for listening to this chaotic episode. Bye.
